The Adventure

Last year Larry came home from his weekly Rotary meeting and told about an invitation from another Rotary Club in Chiang Mai, Thailand to come see Rotary in action and experience a Rotary Friendship Exchange. We took up the offer. It works like this: we will go there to share their culture, and in return, they come here sometime later this year and we share ours. Two couples of us decided to take on this adventure—Nancy and Larry Long, and Richard and Joanna Hudson—and this is the log of our adventure.

The primary reason for this invitation is the relationship the Thailand Club has had with the Fayetteville Club and the help they have been giving to teaching and helping the poor children in Education District 5 in Chiang Mai province. Look for more details as our trip progresses.

As for now, we are anxiously awaiting the beginning of our trip.
